Civil protection teams in Egypt retrieved on Thursday the bodies of three siblings who drowned in a sewage well in the city of Luxor in the southern part of the country.

The civil protection stated that the three siblings drowned while performing maintenance and cleaning of the well located in front of their home in the village of “Halila,” east of “Esna,” south of Luxor Governorate.
Rescue teams made extensive efforts to extract the victims’ bodies, which lasted for more than 5 hours due to the narrowness and depth of the well, which is about 30 meters deep.
