According to military sources in the province, as reported by Al-Montasaf Net, combat movements by the Houthi militia’s elements have been observed on the outskirts of the Bayhan district, bordering the Al-Bayda province where they are stationed. The Houthis have reportedly deployed more of their terrorist elements and Iranian weapons in contact areas from Al-Bayda, particularly in the strategic area of ‘Aqabat al-Qanadha’.
The sources indicated that these Houthi movements around Bayhan coincide with the arrival of elements affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in certain regions of the Sa’id, Azzan, and Ain districts. Elements linked to the Al-Islah party have also been noted in ‘Ataq, the provincial capital, aiming to incite new disruptions.

Local sources in Shabwah have also reported coordination between terrorist groups, the Houthis, and the Muslim Brotherhood to carry out terrorist operations across various parts of the province, including assassinations of military, political, social, and tribal leaders, alongside Houthi attacks on military sites in an attempt to regain control over the province’s oil-rich and coastal areas.
The sources further stated that the ongoing terrorist operations and Houthi attacks in Shabwah are part of this coordination, intended to incite chaos and public discontent against the local authorities, who have previously thwarted all their plans. The objective is to drag Shabwah back into conflict and undermine the development progress currently underway in the region.
