Is the End of the Houthi Terrorist Militias in Their Stronghold Near?

The main stronghold of the Houthi militias, located in the Saada governorate, witnessed an armed attack carried out by a member of a local tribe. The attack targeted a checkpoint belonging to the terrorist militias, resulting in the death of a field commander and the injury of four others.

According to local sources cited by Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni, the tribal assailant, belonging to the Al-Muqayt family, executed the attack using a grenade, followed by gunfire from an automatic weapon aimed at the Houthi forces stationed at the security checkpoint.

The sources indicated that the attack was a retaliatory act in response to the recent killing of a relative of the assailant by Houthi elements just days earlier.

This incident is part of escalating tensions between local tribes and the Houthi militias in the areas under their control, amid growing public outrage over repeated violations committed by the Houthis against civilians and tribal communities.

The sources emphasized that the event highlights the increasing resistance among the local population against the militias, driven by escalating violence and threats directed at residents in these areas.

It is worth noting that this attack is one of a series of recent incidents in the Saada governorate. Reports suggest that many local tribes, fed up with the conduct of the Houthi militias, have taken similar escalatory measures in response to the militias’ practices.
