A chilling call between the Mossad and a senior Iranian commander
“My brother, I swear I am not your enemy”—these were the trembling words reportedly spoken by an Iranian commander in response to a call from the Mossad.
This is what The Wall Street Journal reported, describing a conversation between a senior Iranian police commander, whose identity was not disclosed, and an Israeli Mossad agent.
The Mossad agent said in Persian: “Can you hear me? We know everything about you. You are on our blacklist, and we have all the information about you.”
The police commander reportedly replied: “Alright.”
The Mossad agent then added: “I’m calling to warn you that you must stand with your people. If you don’t, your fate will be the same as that of your leaders.”
The commander responded: “My brother, I swear to you I am not your enemy. I am already a dead man. Please, come help us.”
Since the start of the war, Israeli and American leaders have stated that confrontation with Iran could create the conditions for the Iranian people to overthrow their government.
With the deaths of thousands of regime members, ranging from senior officials to ordinary soldiers, signs of disorder have begun to emerge in Iranian streets.
Iranians speak of growing chaos spreading across the country, noting that security forces are under significant pressure and are threatening protesters to keep them off the streets.
Target lists
Documents obtained by The Wall Street Journal indicate that the campaign began in the early days of the war and has gradually intensified.
The report notes that Israel has been tracking security forces from their headquarters to gathering points and even to shelters under bridges, in an effort to disrupt their operations and send a message to the Iranian public that regime elements are being targeted.
So far, Israel has reportedly launched around 10,000 munitions at thousands of targets, including more than 2,200 linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Basij militia, and internal security forces. Thousands are believed to have been killed or wounded.
Israel began the war by targeting the core of the regime, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and worked with the United States to destroy Iranian missile platforms and air defense systems.
The two countries later divided responsibilities: the United States focused on Iran’s military and industrial capabilities, while Israel targeted the regime’s internal control structures.
