Al-Sissi inaugurates world’s largest wastewater treatment plant
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi, inaugurates the wastewater treatment plant at Bahr el-Baqar station, the largest in the world.
The cost of the project is 20 billion pounds, and its production capacity is 5.6 million cubic meters of treated water per day.
This amount of water will be transported to North Sinai land to help rehabilitate 400,000 feddans as part of the National Project for the Development of Sinai and to strengthen the system of optimal utilization of the state’s water resources.
