Arrival of the third batch… Great praise for the transfer of injured children from Gaza for treatment in the UAE

There is great praise and widespread media coverage for the Emirati initiative launched by the President of the State, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to treat (1000) Palestinian children, along with their families, in hospitals in the United Arab Emirates.

Yesterday, the British channel (Sky News) broadcast a video of its correspondent speaking from inside a UAE plane before flying to Egypt to transport Palestinian children from Gaza to the UAE, starting their treatment journey with their families. The correspondent and the camera focused on doctors preparing a medical team to receive children with serious injuries aboard the mercy plane, described by Alex Crawford as a flying hospital.

On board the plane were about (30) doctors from various health sectors, preparing to receive around (100) Palestinian children from Gaza, including patients and those with serious injuries, according to the correspondent.

The correspondent confirmed that all the children would be transferred to specialized hospitals in the UAE upon their arrival to begin their treatment journey and alleviate their pain. Today, Monday, Abu Dhabi Airport in the UAE received the third plane carrying Palestinian children from Gaza and their families for treatment in UAE hospitals.

Such initiatives embody the approach of the UAE and its historical commitment to support the Palestinian people and alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis they face, especially the most vulnerable groups, including children, who constitute about half of the population of the Gaza Strip (over a million children). This aligns with the steadfast fraternal stance of the UAE towards the Palestinians.

It is worth noting that the arrival of the first plane came about a month after Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, directed urgent aid to the Palestinians in the amount of (20) million dollars through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA). This is the third aid installment in (5) months to UNRWA, which focuses on providing education, healthcare, and social services to Palestinian refugees, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to preserving the right to education for future generations in Palestine.

Meanwhile, (10) trucks from the UAE Red Crescent headed to the Gaza Strip carrying food aid, in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE. The UAE continues its humanitarian efforts to provide support to the residents of Gaza.

The provided aid includes (16,520) food parcels weighing (247.8) tons, as part of the “The Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation aimed at alleviating the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip facing exceptionally critical conditions.
