The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, has ordered the hosting of one thousand Palestinian children, along with their families from the Gaza Strip, to provide all types of medical and healthcare they require in the state’s hospitals.
The Emirates News Agency, WAM, reported: “The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, has ordered the hosting of one thousand Palestinian children, along with their families from the Gaza Strip, to provide all types of medical and healthcare they need in the state’s hospitals until they recover and return.”
The agency added that this step reflects “the UAE’s authentic stances and its firm approach in supporting and assisting its brothers in various circumstances.”
Earlier, Israeli aircraft targeted a residential area in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip with six missiles, each weighing a ton of explosives, resulting in extensive damage, dozens of casualties, and a large number of people still missing under the rubble.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that the casualties from the Israeli airstrikes on Jabalia camp yesterday alone “exceeded 400 martyrs and wounded,” and many of the residents of the targeted residential area are still under the rubble.
The initiative to host children from the Gaza Strip and provide them with medical and healthcare is part of the ongoing efforts by the United Arab Emirates to provide relief to the Palestinian people, especially children, in response to the difficult humanitarian conditions they are experiencing.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Mirjana Spoljaric discussed the importance of delivering humanitarian and medical aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip intensively and continuously, along with the need for regional and international efforts to enhance the humanitarian response to the needs of those affected by the current crisis.
