Bernard Hill, Titanic Captain, Passes Away

British actor Bernard Hill, famous for his role as the captain in “Titanic” and as Théoden, King of Rohan in “The Lord of the Rings,” has passed away, as announced by his family on Sunday.

In a statement released by the family, it was stated: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of the renowned actor Bernard Hill in the early hours of Sunday, at the age of 79, with his fiancée Alison and their son Gabriel.”

Bernard Hill became known for his role in the film “Boys from the Blackstuff” in 1982, which depicted the story of unemployed men, becoming a symbol of the Thatcher era.
