Does he return to Barcelona?.. “Judicial solution” raises doubts about Neymar’s future
Doubts have been raised about the possibility of the return of Brazilian Neymar da Silva, the star of France’s Paris Saint-Germain, to Spanish Barcelona, after the parties reached a judicial solution.
Neymar was expelled from the Barcelona ranks in the summer of 2017 to Paris Saint-Germain for 222 million euros, the penalty clause for his contract with the Catalan club.
Since Neymar’s departure from the Camp No stadium, his name has not stopped chanting in the Catalan club, in light of demands for his return and negotiations with his French club to include him, but they have always stopped, especially in light of the mutual issues between the two parties.
Neymar had been demanding €45 million, the equivalent of the so-called “loyalty clause,” from Barcelona until August 2017, but the Catalan club had refused to give him the money, claiming he was gone, and accused the Brazilian player of breaching their contract.
The Barcelona Club announced in an official statement that the cases with the Brazilian player were resolved amicably, through the signing of a transactional agreement between them, on the issues that brought them together, whether civil or work related.
The move opened the door for Neymar to return to Barcelona in the coming period, after finishing his differences with the Catalan club.
This would not seem to be the case in the current summer Americas, especially since the Paris Saint-Germain Club had earlier announced a further renewal of the Brazilian player’s contract.
It is noteworthy that Neymar played for Barcelona from 2013 to 2017. He played for the team in 186 matches, scoring 105 goals and making 76. He was crowned with 8 titles, the most prominent of which was the title of the European Champions League 2015 and two titles for the Spanish League in 2015 and 2016.
