Following anti-semitism accusations, Elon Musk considers visiting Israel
Media reports on Friday revealed that the American billionaire Elon Musk is considering a visit to Israel next week after being accused of ‘anti-Semitism.’
The Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot stated that Musk may travel to Israel next week, where he is expected to visit Kibbutz Be’eri on the border with the Gaza Strip, which was attacked by Hamas on October 7th of last year.
It is also expected that Musk will meet with the owner of SpaceX, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and President Isaac Herzog.
The source explained that “a visit to Israel may help Musk improve his reputation after being accused of anti-Semitism.”
Accusations
Elon Musk faced accusations of anti-Semitism in recent days after posts supporting Hitler and Nazis appeared on the ‘X’ platform.
The American billionaire responded to a post that said, “Jews use the same hatred against whites that they ask people to stop using against them,” and Musk commented, “I have already spoken the truth.”
The White House condemned what it considered “odious promotion” of anti-Semitism by Musk.
The European Commission also stated, “We have witnessed a disturbing increase in misleading information and hate speech on several social media platforms in recent weeks, and this certainly includes the (X) platform.”
Musk also stirred controversy after expressing his opinion on the Israeli war on Gaza, stating in an interview with host Alex Friedman, “If you commit genocide against an entire people, you will leave behind many living people who will subsequently harbor hatred towards Israel.”
On Tuesday, Musk announced that the ‘X’ platform would donate all revenue from advertisements and subscriptions related to the war in Gaza to hospitals in Israel, the Red Cross, and the Red Crescent in Gaza.
