Gaza News Now: Ongoing Israeli Incursion and Bombardments Accompanied by Calls for a Global Strike

Southern Gaza Strip is witnessing continued Israeli artillery shelling on Sunday, particularly in Khan Younis and Rafah, as Israeli forces advance into several areas.

Israeli artillery stationed east of Khan Younis fired shells toward Rafah city, while warplanes targeted the vicinity of the Mirage area north of the city.

Northern parts of Rafah are also under continuous bombardment, with military helicopters heavily firing northeast of the city.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a massive explosion caused by the demolition of residential buildings in northern Rafah. These demolitions destroyed homes and triggered powerful shockwaves heard throughout the Gaza Strip.

In Khan Younis, Israeli artillery continues its intense shelling of the Qizan Rashwan area in the southwest of the city. Israeli tanks positioned around the Hashashin area between Khan Younis and Rafah have intensified their fire.

Reports also indicated the destruction of several homes near the Morag axis and the beginning of bulldozing operations in the agricultural lands of Qizan Rashwan. Widespread destruction was noted around the Zaghloul cold storage facility between Khan Younis and Rafah. Homes, as well as agricultural and commercial facilities, were destroyed.

In central Gaza, heavy gunfire was observed from Israeli vehicles in the northern parts of Al-Bureij camp. In northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles fired heavily on Sunday morning toward the eastern areas of Gaza City, coinciding with airstrikes targeting neighborhoods such as Shuja’iya and Tuffah in the city’s east.

Additionally, four civilians were injured in artillery shelling that targeted a gathering of people in the Al-‘Awwamrah area, east of Abasan al-Kabira.

In northern Rafah, Israeli artillery shelling continues, while warplanes continue demolishing residential buildings in the city’s northern areas.

The death toll from the bombing of a house and tents of displaced people west of Khan Younis has risen to 19.
