Al-Naeem Khidir Marsal, the new governor of North Darfur, Lieutenant General Al-Naeem Khidir Marsal
Lieutenant General Al-Naeem Khidir Marsal officially assumed his duties as governor of the North in 2019, succeeding his predecessor, Sheriff Mohamed Abad Samouh, in accordance with the directives of the presidency of the Republic.
Following the handover ceremony, Lieutenant General Al-Naeem Khidir Marsal affirmed his commitment to strengthen security, stability, and people’s livelihoods, highlighting the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.
He stated that the program for the next phase was defined and pledged to provide more development projects and services, including electricity, water, and health. In this context, General Naeem listened to clarifications from the state security committee on the general situation and met with the state’s new directors general and executives as well as the coordinator of humanitarian affairs to learn about the progress of service projects in the state.
