Massive Fire Engulfs an Area Equivalent to ‘6 Football Fields’ in Los Angeles

Firefighters have managed a massive fire that led to the ignition of trailers, cars, and other materials in storage yards below a major freeway in downtown Los Angeles, temporarily closing the road, according to authorities.

The fire caused towering flames to soar into the sky on Saturday, with firefighters discovering twisted protective barriers and shattered black concrete near the Highway 10 overpass in an industrial area. Authorities state that the road connecting the east and west sides of Los Angeles will remain closed for at least 24 hours until Sunday.

The Fire Department mentioned that the fire didn’t cause any injuries but engulfed an area equivalent to 6 football fields.

Authorities haven’t yet announced the cause of the fire.
