Mercato: “Agreement in principle” for the transfer of Lewandowski to Barça (official)

FC Barcelona is fine, thanks for him.

After Raphinha (Leeds United, €58m), Franck Kessié (AC Milan, free) and Andreas Christensen (Chelsea, free), the Catalan club hosts a fourth rookie.

And not just any: The Blaugrana announced this Saturday an agreement in principle with Bayern for the transfer of Robert Lewandowski. A former Lech Poznan and Borussia Dortmund goalscorer, the 33-year-old Polish international has established himself as one of the world’s best forwards under Bayern’s colors since 2014, if not the best.

344 goals in 375 matches with the German champion for Lewandowski, who had one year left in Bavaria and who had made FC Barcelona his priority this summer. All he has to do is go through the traditional medical check-up before he signs for his new team. The amount of the transfer has not been confirmed, but various sources mention the sum of 50 M€ (45+5 bonus).
