Musk Accuses WhatsApp of Stealing Customer Data “Every Night”

Billionaire and American businessman Elon Musk has sparked controversy again by warning users of the popular messaging app “WhatsApp,” claiming it “steals their conversations.”

Musk claimed on Saturday, in a tweet posted on his platform “X,” that “WhatsApp” regularly transfers users’ private data “every night,” noting that “some users think it is safe.”

In a video he posted, Musk said that “WhatsApp activates phones’ microphones every night to transfer all users’ encrypted data to the company’s servers.”

Followers are divided in their opinions regarding Musk’s claims. While some share his concerns, others question his credibility.

Additionally, some followers have urged the American billionaire to provide evidence to support his claims of WhatsApp stealing data.
