Ronaldo arrested and facing prison in Saudi Arabia?

Cristiano Ronaldo had the worst of all faults Tuesday night when he lost to Al-Nasser. An obscene gesture after the match could cost him dearly.

A lot of illusions flew for CR7 on Tuesday night when his team fell in front of Al-Hilal – a result that suits Saudi league leader Al-Ittihad.

Frustrated, Cristiano Ronaldo lost his nerves on at least two occasions – first when he physically assaulted an opponent, narrowly escaping the red card; then at the end of the match when Lionel Messi’s supporters chanting the Argentinian’s name in the gallery lifted him out of his seat, Football reports.

As he left the pitch, the Portuguese striker grabbed his genitals while taunting the other side’s supporters – a move that was deeply shocking to the Saudi public, which is deeply committed to religious and puritanical values.

“Even though the audience at Al-Hilal provoked Cristiano, they didn’t know how to respond. Cristiano’s conduct is a crime,” said Nouf bin Ahmed, an international lawyer who decided to take up the case.
