After completing all its stages, the integrated Emirati Field Hospital in Gaza commenced providing its medical services to the residents of the region on Saturday. This is part of the UAE’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and support the healthcare system in the sector, which is facing exceptionally critical conditions.
According to the UAE news agency, a UAE medical team supervises the hospital, which has a capacity of more than (150) beds, within the framework of the “The Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation to provide aid and humanitarian assistance to the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip. The hospital includes operating rooms qualified to perform various types of surgeries, including general surgery, pediatric surgery, and vascular surgery, as well as intensive care units for adults and children, an anesthesia department, specialized clinics covering internal medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics, in addition to supporting medical services.
The hospital also provides services such as CT scans, X-rays, and pharmacy services, equipped with a laboratory featuring the latest devices necessary for conducting various types of analyses and examinations. This enhances its ability to provide comprehensive treatment to patients according to the best international standards and protocols.
The medical staff at the Emirati Field Hospital in Gaza includes specialized and qualified teams in various medical fields and branches, in addition to medical volunteers.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the start of the entry of the Emirati Field Hospital into the southern Gaza Strip last Friday through the Rafah crossing, to provide the necessary medical support to the Palestinian brothers and sisters in the sector. The hospital represents one of the achievements of the “The Gallant Knight 3” operation, launched by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, directing joint operations at the Ministry of Defense, to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Meanwhile, efforts continue to host (1000) Palestinian children from Gaza along with their families, providing all types of medical and healthcare needed in UAE hospitals until their recovery and return.
