The principal owner of Liverpool, John W Henry, reported that his participation in the victory of club in the past 14 months has been the highlight of his career although his various successes with the Boston Red Sox.

The team of Jurgen Klopp, since June 2019, won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and after a wait of 30-year, it obtained the English league title.

Fenway Sports Group of Henry also possesses baseball franchise the Boston Red Sox, who ended their 86-year trophy drought with a World Series victory in 2004, following up with further wins in 2007, 2013, and 2018. However, the American believes what Liverpool have achieved exceeds those achievements.

He informed liverpoolfc.com: The fact that we are champions of England, champions of Europe, the Club World Cup, and the Super Cup is just an extraordinary accomplishment by this organization and by these players, he added: To be involved with that, to have been a part of it has really been the capstone of my career and I think all of us who have been a part of Fenway Sports Group. Henry thanked the players and staff, highlighting the impact of Klopp and the team around him and saying: I could go on and on about Jurgen and how his heart is larger than his frame, how his enthusiasm affects all of us positively every day.

As Klopp prepare to more successes, veteran Liverpool midfielder James Milner has alerted his team-mates it would be criminal for them to lose focus after their Premier League triumph.

Currently, the players are on a break before the beginning of pre-season while Milner, who also won two titles in three years with Manchester City, reported that they have to be switched on when they return.

The 34-year-old informed the website of Liverpool: I think it’s getting that balance right. We have to enjoy it because we know how hard it is to win trophies, we’ve been very good to do it but also lucky to win the amount of trophies we have had this year. He added: Trent (Alexander-Arnold) thinks it’s absolutely easy, he just turns up and wins trophies every year but I can assure you, with the amount of years I’ve had in my career, it’s not that easy.

He also alerted his teammates against letting their standards drop saying: We have a couple of weeks to enjoy this and enjoy being champions and then, as soon as next season starts, it’s down to the fans to carry on enjoying it and enjoy being champions for us.
