The series authors reveal the original scenario of the end of ”Shaqah 6”

The Egyptian series “Shaqah 6” (Apartment 6) written by Mahmoud Wahid and Soad Al-Kadi which they reveal the details of their crisis with director Mahmoud Kamel and the original ending of the series.

The series last episode generated controversy and the director was accused of changing the real scenario.

In an interview with Et in Arabic, Mahmoud Wahid said that the character “Ingy” (Ruby) was not mentally ill, as was shown at the end of the series, because this ending is the usual idea in any work.

He added that they wanted to do a different job, explaining: “Engy is not a psychopath.. Engy was manipulated by the devil.”

Mahmoud Wahid, who played the role of deputy prosecutor in the series, said that the crisis began when filming stopped last Ramadan. The director then proceeded with filming without even telling him to finish his role because he wanted to change the scenario.

Author Soad Al-Kadi said that many disputes took place at the time of filming and there are witnesses to them.

She said the director no longer reads the script because he wants to change the ending and hire someone else to write the ending he wants. She said he has considered making Enjy, the main character in the play, blind.

Wahid denied all the director’s statements that the story of the series was not written and that they only proposed the idea, stressing that they provided censorship with 15 full episodes.

Mahmoud Wahid and Soad Al-Kadi said they would not write the second part of the work.
