Yemen – Analysts expose secret of Houthi-Brotherhood terrorist collaboration
The Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization continues to support the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen in the media and through the smuggling of weapons and drugs to the militias through areas under their control. A network of Brotherhood officers and leaders operates under the auspices of commanders of two military brigades that smuggle weapons and contraband to Houthi militias.
Brotherhood network
Media reports mentioned that Colonel Shuaib Al-Adimi, a Brotherhood intelligence officer who serves as the intelligence chief for the 4th Infantry Brigade, leads the smuggling network, which includes his brother Muharram Al-Adimi, another officer in the transportation brigade, along with an officer named Qais Al-Muneifi in the Shematin Security Administration. He is also a fourth Muslim Brotherhood leader, named Suhaib Al-Mikhlafi.
The network carries out a wide movement to smuggle weapons and drugs into Houthi militia areas in exchange for large amounts of money to be made. It also tolerates crimes of torture in prisons and controls on Yemeni civilians’ property en masse.
Cooperation plan
Dr. Abdul-Sattar Al-Shimiri, head of the Yemen Studies Efforts Center, said that the Houthi-Brotherhood’s cooperation has many objectives, including working to expand Iranian activity in the region, pointing out that the two organizations are similar in agendas and goals, and achieve them through terrorism first and foremost, which explains the alliance and close and hidden cooperation in Yemen to plunder its wealth and its benefits and realize Iran’s long and strategic plans.
The main goal of the evil terrorist alliance is to overthrow the Yemeni state and share it between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Houthis, leading to the formation of a joint operations room between the Brotherhood, the Houthis and the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, he said.
Terrorist ties
For her part, writer and political analyst Maria Maalouf, said that the relationship between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Houthi terrorist groups has become strong, complex and unambiguous in Yemen, where elements of the Muslim Brotherhood are involved in fighting with the Houthis in several areas against the forces of the legitimate internationally recognized Yemeni government, in addition to providing sectarian issues for the Houthi terrorist militias, which are loyal to Iran, in order to achieve Tehran’s agendas in this country.
In an article, she added that relations between the Yemeni Brotherhood and the Houthi militias are witnessing development and cooperation at all levels, paid for by the people of Yemen, through an agreement that sponsors terrorism and provides it with financial, military and logistical support. According to these data, the Brotherhood and Houthi terrorists depend on chaos, the policy of intimidation and assassinations in many areas of Yemen against anyone who stands in the way of their suspicious project.
It is noteworthy that the Houthi Brotherhood arms smuggling network operates an active land line that extends from Mudharaba, Ras al-Ara and al-Sabiha to the Ash Shamayatayn and Al Maqatirah districts and even the areas of the Houthi militia in “Dimna Khadir” and “Haifan” south of Taiz.
