Yemen: Terrorist attack targeting Yemeni Minister in Aden
A killing try targeting the convoy of Yemeni Minister of Civil Service and Insurance Abdel Nasser al-Waly in the southern city of Aden led to the increase of pressure on the new power-sharing government to accelerate the execution of the military and security stipulations of the Riyadh deal.

The official described the present state of affairs as frustrating, emphasizing the need for quickly completing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement. He also said: Unfortunately, the situation in Aden has become worse than it was even before the formation of the government.
The official also affirmed that there is no doubt that completing the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement is the best way out for all. We hope that this will be done quickly.
On Thursday, Abdel Nasser al-Waly stay alive in an attempt in Aden, without uninjured from an explosion that targeted his convoy. The assassination came with another huge terror attack targeting a security checkpoint in Abyan governorate. According to local reporters, the attack murdered at least ten soldiers.
Otherwise, Saudi Arabia called on Wednesday Yemen’s official government and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) for an urgent gathering in Riyadh about the completion of the Riyadh Agreement’s implementation to unify the lines of Yemenis and avoid massacre.
The Yemeni government and the STC welcomed Saudi Arabia’s appeal and affirmed the need for completing the implementation of security and military procedures noted by the Riyadh deal.
On his part, Ali al-Kuthairi, an STC spokesman, informed Asharq Al-Awsat that killings and terrorist attacks in Yemen, serve only the agenda of Houthi militias in Yemen.
Kuthairi also said: Al-Waly’s assassination attempt and the terror attack against the Security Belt Forces in Abyan regrettably forebode a violent resurgence of terror groups in Yemen, indicating that an increase in terrorism would advance Houthi aims in the war-ravaged country.
About the Riyadh Agreement, Kuthairi repeated the STC’s welcoming of Saudi Arabia’s appeal for resuming negotiations and completing the deal’s implementation.
