Saada and Hodeidah: Yemeni Army inflicts heavy losses on Houthi

Fierce fighting between joint forces and Houthi militias is taking place in the south of Yemen’s western Hodeida province, inflicting heavy losses on Houthi militias.

Military sources said that the combined forces’ artillery shelled Houthi militia positions in the coastal Al Haymah Ad Dakhiliyah sector, causing human and material losses.

For days now, Houthi militias have been trying to make a breakthrough in the Al Haymah Strip, south of Hodeida, but they are facing violent resistance from the combined forces.

In Saada province, which borders Saudi Arabia, army forces liberated new positions in the Marran axis in Almalaheeth front in Haydan district, southwest of the province, as part of a large-scale military operation supported by the Legitimacy Support Alliance.

Gen. Mohammed al-Ajabi, commander of the 3rd Storm Brigade, said the military operation aims to liberate all of Yemen, restore legitimacy and eliminate Houthi terrorist militias.

Army artillery and Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy fighters launched a series of attacks and raids targeting Houthi militia sites and gatherings in various areas of Jabhat Almalaheeth, mostly in the Marran area of Haydan district, he said.

Al-Ajabi told the official Saba news agency that Houthi militias have suffered heavy losses in lives and materiel.

In Taiz, in southwest Yemen, joint forces dealt painful blows to Houthi militias, inflicting heavy casualties and material losses in important locations in the west of the governorate.
The joint forces’ military media said in a statement that heavy weapons strikes destroyed barracks and hideouts of Houthi militias on the outskirts of Maqbanah, west of Taiz, and Jabal Ras and al-Jarrahi, south of Hodeidah, after accurate monitoring of their movements over the past few days.
Military media confirmed the death and injury of a number of Houthi militias, and the destruction of an artillery post and three fighting vehicles, saying that all movements of Houthi militias near the demarcation lines are closely monitored.

On the fronts of the 5th military region of Midi and Harad on the Saudi Arabian border, the Yemeni army’s victories continue.
