Sources: Qatar invests in Russian war to boost Iran-US relations
The Qatari regime is not missing a crisis without investing in its consequences, with the aim of achieving its hidden and dubious agendas in the region, and the Russian-Ukrainian war was not far from Qatari endeavors.
Informed sources revealed that Qatar was aware that the issue of the Russian invasion of Ukraine had become certain, through intelligence information, which Doha received from the American administration.
The sources added: “Doha used the information for the agreement with Iran to increase gas pumping to Eastern Europe to compensate for Russian gas, which would be restricted, especially after the United States carried out its threats to stop the Nord-Stream 2 project.
The sources indicated that the Qatari mediation in Iran included an agreement that Tehran would supply gas to Europe, at the same time Washington issued a decision to ease the economic sanctions that have cost the Iranian regime so much.
The agreement came during a closed-door meeting between Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad earlier this week during Raisi’s visit to Doha, the sources said.
Qatar’s mediation in Iran comes at a time when the Arab region is turning its attention towards Iran’s terrorism and violations, and its support for militias in the Middle East; this has led to the expansion of Iranian terrorist control.
