Expo 2020 – Mohammed ben Zayed: We accomplished what we promised the world


The UAE held an extraordinary session and dealt with challenges, Sheik Mohammed ben Zayed, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the armed forces, said Friday at the closing of the 2020 Dubai Expo.

Sheik Mohammed ben Zayed tweeted: “Thank God, we accomplished what we promised the world.. We organized an extraordinary session under the leadership and the thought of a leader who is good at dealing with the challenges. Thank you brother Mohammed ben Rashid, and thank you to all the teams at Expo 2020. We wish good luck to friendly Japan in organizing Expo 2025”.

Six months ago, the UAE opened its arms to the world in exceptional circumstances that were unprecedented in the major event “Expo 2020 Dubai”, and it was the world’s largest gateway to a prosperous world.

With the slogan “Continuing Minds and Making the Future”, the UAE has launched a new international journey of collective action to establish a prosperous and sustainable future for all humanity.

The Expo 2020 Dubai event, in which 191 countries participated, concluded Thursday and represented a milestone in the UAE’s march towards the strategic gains it made from successfully hosting the event and strengthening its leadership position at the regional and international levels.

Japan will host the next Expo 2025, which will be held on a space that 8 billion people around the world can visit or see.
