Palestinian Messages of Thanks for Humanitarian Aid to Gaza from the UAE
Since the formation of the state of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its global efforts to spread goodwill in line with its leadership’s vision, the UAE has been providing humanitarian aid to save lives, alleviate suffering, and protect human dignity amidst crises.
The country has contributed to a wide range of humanitarian emergencies through multilateral efforts as well as direct assistance, with over 40 charitable organizations, government institutions, and private companies providing humanitarian aid to those in need. Among the most notable aid efforts are those sent by the UAE to the Palestinian people during the recent conflict in Gaza.
Continuous support and gratitude towards the UAE
The relief efforts sent by the UAE to the northern Gaza Strip, by land via the Karem Abu Salem crossing and by air through the “Birds of Goodness” operation, totaled nearly 2807 tons of aid, prompting continuous thanks from the Palestinian people in clear messages carrying blessings to the benefactors: “Thank you, UAE… Thank you to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.” Palestinian expressions of gratitude continue unabated, following “the birds of goodness” wherever they land above Gaza.
With the 38th batch of humanitarian aid and relief announced by the Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defense, deployed to the northern Gaza Strip, messages of thanks from Palestinian citizens to the UAE leadership were observed.
Aid and reception of Palestinian children
The UAE has welcomed the 16th group of injured Palestinian children and cancer patients from Gaza, comprising 25 children in need of medical treatment and 51 accompanying family members.
Arriving by plane from Al-Arish Airport in Egypt to Zayed International Airport, medical teams transported the injured and those requiring immediate care to hospitals for treatment, while the remaining cases and their companions were taken to the UAE Humanitarian City where they will reside. This initiative follows the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to provide medical care to 1000 Palestinian children injured and 1000 diagnosed with cancer from Gaza in state hospitals.
Ahmed Zakarna, a Palestinian political researcher, states: “The UAE has been and remains at the forefront in extending aid and relief to the Palestinian people, supporting them in all circumstances.” The Palestinian people appreciate the efforts of medical and volunteer teams who have provided them with full support, as well as the continuous messages of thanks, as some are dying of hunger and UAE aid is saving them in this deadly war.
Zakarna emphasizes that the UAE is a fraternal country with a clear vision on the Palestinian issue, and their support has not only been financial but also moral. UAE messages since the start of the war reflect brotherhood and advocacy for Arab rights and the pursuit of establishing the Palestinianstate. Therefore, the messages conveyed via video today are not enough to express gratitude to the UAE leadership.
