Palestinian Analyst: UAE Has Cemented All Humanitarian Efforts to Support Palestinian People
The United Arab Emirates has cemented all humanitarian efforts to support the children of the Palestinian people
UAE‘s humanitarian efforts have continued for the seventh consecutive month to support the Palestinian people in their current crisis since last October until now. Through humanitarian initiatives, the UAE has managed to embody religious values, charity, the spirit of Ramadan, and principles of human brotherhood. They have thus cemented their position as a global capital of goodness and humanity in the Arab world, reaffirming the consistent stances taken by the UAE to support their brothers in their crises.
Humanitarian Epic
The UAE’s humanitarian initiatives have drawn a humanitarian relief epic, led by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, placing the country at the forefront of supporting the people of Gaza in particular and humanitarian work in general, according to a report by the “Roaya” news network.
Humanitarian Initiatives
About 14 initiatives have been launched to support the sector, notably “Compassion for Gaza” on October 15th last year, with the participation of more than 24,000 volunteers in the UAE who prepared 71,000 relief baskets locally collected. Then, the initiative “The Gallant Knight 3” was launched on November 5th last year, generating about 9 initiatives. An air bridge was established to deliver humanitarian and medical aid, a field hospital was opened in the Gaza Strip, another floating hospital was set up in the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, and desalination stations were provided to supply drinking water to the population. Moreover, automated ovens and kitchens were provided and operated to supply bread and meals in Gaza.
Among those initiatives, the “Birds of Goodness” operation was launched on February 28th last year to drop humanitarian and relief aid by aircraft from the UAE and Egyptian air forces on Gaza. This initiative is part of a series of initiatives including the “The Gallant Knight 3” operation, launched on November 5th last year, on the orders of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
Cementing Humanity
In this regard, Dr. Ayman al-Riqab, a Palestinian political science professor, says: “The UAE has cemented all humanitarian efforts to support the children of the Palestinian people in Gaza.” These efforts have been clearly evident through the launch of successive initiatives since the beginning of the Israeli escalation in Gaza on October 7th last year. These aids increased during the holy month of Ramadan due to the increased suffering of the people of Gaza because of the ongoing Israeli attack.
He added that despite everything, the UAE, under the guidance of its leadership, intensified humanitarian aids to support the brotherly Palestinian people in Gaza during the holy month, through initiatives carried out by UAE authorities concerned with providing humanitarian action. The UAE doubled its efforts during the blessed month of Ramadan, providing these aids through the cooperation of government, non-governmental, and charitable institutions in the country.
He continued: “The entire Palestinian people extend their thanks to the UAE leadership and its people for their noble stance since the beginning of the crisis, by providing means of support and accompaniment to our brothers in Gaza.”
