Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated on Tuesday, in a televised speech, that the Yemeni group had carried out three operations targeting the Cordelia Moon ship in the Red Sea and the Marathopolis ship in the Arabian Sea.

He added that the two other attacks targeted the “Marathopolis ship in the Indian Ocean with a cruise missile” in two waves “using a drone,” and confirmed that Yemeni attacks would not stop “unless the aggression against Gaza ceases and the blockade is lifted, as well as stopping the aggression against Lebanon.”

Moreover, activists have spoken about the tragic reality of citizens lacking the basic requirements for a decent life under the rule of the Houthis, who turn their backs on their people’s crises while showcasing their imaginary heroics to the region, while some have called for awareness of what is happening and the aftermath of the Iran-aligned militias in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon.

Additionally, a British maritime security agency reported that two ships were hit by attacks on Tuesday off the coast of Yemen, claimed by the Houthis, as regional tensions escalated following Israel’s initiation of ground operations in southern Lebanon.

In the first attack, the U.K. Maritime Trade Operations agency, managed by the British Royal Navy, stated that “a ship was hit by a drone. Ballast tank number 6 was punctured.”

The agency added that the same ship, which was sailing 64 nautical miles (118 kilometers) northwest of Hodeidah, had previously faced threats earlier on Tuesday, noting four explosions nearby.

Later, the same agency reported that a ship had been struck by a missile in a new attack near the city of Hodeidah, confirming that it “sustained damage. All crew members are safe.”
