How did Hamas involve the Palestinians in the latest war to take over aid? What does Qatar have to do with it?
Meeting with Hamas Leader and Qatari Emir ... Material Support in Exchange for Implementing Destructive Agendas
As soon as the war on Gaza came to an end through Egyptian efforts, the people of the Strip were able to recover from the destruction and devastation that befell them after 11 days of intransigence and mutual war between the Israeli occupation forces and Hamas, which resulted in the death of more than 230 innocent people, including 65 children, 39 women and 17 elderly people, and the injury of about 1900 others, in exchange for the death of 15 Israelis and the injury of 330 others.
These 11 days were enough to cause massive destruction in the Gaza Strip, where the losses were multiplied by the latest aggression, from the Israeli war on the Strip in 2014, which lasted 51 days, with initial estimates of material losses amounting to about $150 million.
The events and destruction witnessed in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian areas give the impression that it is a scene that is repeated periodically and often on holidays. Every time Hamas leaders launch provocative and useless rockets inside or outside Israel, indiscriminate corrections incite the destructive wheel of the Israeli army to destroy the Strip, claiming the lives of Palestinians, including children, women and the elderly. Repeating the incident pushes the question of why all this is happening and how? to throw himself away.
Perhaps the most notable answer to that question; It is the trade of the leaders of Hamas, headed by its president Ismaël Haniyeh who has been living in Qatar for about a year, with the Palestinian people and their cause, to obtain international donation funds, acquire a media glow, and falsely claim that they are the resistance, when in fact, these fabricated wars are crushing the Palestinian people, crushing their lives, abilities, and livelihoods, while the politicians are still steeped in their propaganda and no evil will touch them from that destruction.
Another very important thing is that Hamas policy has turned, for years, towards relations and alliances with different countries, such as Iran and Qatar in particular, which might contribute to its deviation from the road leading to Palestinian unity, and to the rights and freedom of the Palestinian people against occupation. These relations have played a role in hardening Hamas’s position towards Palestinian reconciliation. The movement itself has thus also fallen into the trap of the special interests of these countries, which are always willing to play a key role in the region, even if at the expense of the Palestinian cause, which these countries are trying to resolve it just for propaganda.
Following the latest events, the head of Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, and a delegation from the movement’s leadership met with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on Sunday evening at the Amiri Court in Doha, in a time when the international community is pressuring to prevent the entry of funds for reconstruction through armed factions, and stressing the need for the funds to enter legally through the Palestinian Authority.
According to informed sources, Haniyeh’s meeting with the Emir of Qatar included receiving promises and agreements to provide financial support to the movement, in the coming days, to implement Qatari Brotherhood schemes in the Gaza Strip, through contributing to the reconstruction of the destroyed Strip, and earning the sympathy of the Palestinians and the Arab people by supporting the Palestinian cause.
The Qatari-Muslim Brotherhood plan aims at the participation of Hamas and Doha in the reconstruction process in order to completely clear Hamas of the destruction that hit Gaza, and to hold the people injured and killed responsible for the occupation only, and to overlook Iran’s involvement in the escalation that took place in the Palestinian territories over the past two weeks.
