After the “Bracelet Messages”… Israel Provokes “Hamas” with “Prisoner T-shirts”

After the bracelet messages, Israel has chosen to send its messages to “Hamas” through t-shirts worn by Palestinian prisoners, a step that mirrors what the movement does when releasing hostages.
Israel released 369 Palestinian prisoners today, Saturday, as part of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, during the sixth exchange with the Hamas movement.

In a surprising move, the Israeli Prison Authority forced the released Palestinian prisoners to wear t-shirts with messages directed at “Hamas.”
The Israeli Prison Authority distributed a photo to the media of the Palestinian prisoners to be released today, wearing these t-shirts.
The prisoners were forced to wear sportswear featuring the blue Star of David and the prison service logo, along with the Arabic phrase: “We will not forget, we will not forgive.”

Previously, during earlier releases, the Israeli Prison Authority had forced prisoners to wear a paper bracelet inscribed in Arabic and Hebrew: “The eternal people does not forget, I chase my enemies and capture them,” along with the Israeli flag.
The photos of the prisoners released today also show they were forced to wear this bracelet.
Additionally, the Israeli Prison Authority placed a large sign with the same message at the entrance of Ofer Prison in central West Bank, where prisoners are gathered and then released on buses to be reunited with their families.

Journalist Josh Brenner from “Haaretz” commented on the photos, saying: “It is hard to explain how foolish the decision of the Israel Prison Service Commissioner, Kobi Yaakov, was to make prisoners wear t-shirts with the slogan ‘We will not forget, we will not forgive’”
He added: “Irresponsibility and childish behavior that could negatively reflect on our prisoners held by the enemy.”

He questioned: “Who does this decision benefit other than to flatter Ben Gvir? Is this what you’ve invested resources in? Media propaganda? Sheer stupidity, but he will get praise from Ben Gvir on Saturday night. Well done, genius.”
It is worth noting that the slogan “We will not forget, we will not forgive” is a Palestinian slogan often repeated during the commemoration of the Nakba of 1948.
