FM of the UAE and the US Envoy to Iran discussed diminishing of regional tensions


The UAE’s news agency WAM reported that UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and the US special envoy to Iran Robert Malley talked about the strategic ties between the United Arab Emirates and the US during a phone conversation.

The agency also stated that Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan confirmed the UAE’s commitment to the reinforcement of ties and working strictly with the administration of US President Joe Biden to decrease regional tensions, and also starting a new dialogue and consolidates cooperation frameworks under the Abraham Accords.

Moreover, Robert Malley, the US special envoy to Iran, discussed the strategic ties between the UAE and the US of America, also the developments in the region and many regional and international subjects of common interest.
