In a statement posted on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Lecornu wrote: “French air forces conducted targeted strikes on ISIS positions in Syrian territory on Sunday.”
The French strikes follow a similar military operation recently conducted by the United States in Syria, during which Washington claimed to have killed two ISIS members.
