Patel, appointed by Donald Trump to lead the FBI, has pledged to “do everything in his power” to expose those involved with the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein in child abuse cases.
This unexpected development comes as newly uncovered emails reveal that Andrew was in contact with Epstein for a longer period than he had claimed.
During a Senate hearing, Kash Patel stated that he was prepared to investigate anyone associated with Epstein, who died in 2019.

He declared: “There is no place for child sex trafficking in the United States. I will do everything I can to ensure that the American people know the full truth.”
Prince Andrew, 64, had paid millions of dollars to settle a lawsuit out of court filed against him by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims, despite denying allegations of sexual assault.
Andrew had stayed at Epstein’s New York residence and was accused of participating in the sexual abuse of minors on Epstein’s Caribbean island.

The FBI had requested assistance from the British Home Office in 2020 to interview the prince, but the investigation was halted last year.
One of Epstein’s victims told The Sun: “The FBI must reopen the investigation… Andrew must face justice… He was Epstein’s friend for years and was never held accountable… Kash Patel must release all the investigative files immediately.”
This follows the revelation of emails in a British court showing that a member of the British royal family—believed to be Andrew—sent a message to Epstein in February 2011, saying: “Stay in close contact, and we’ll have fun again soon!”

However, the prince had stated in an interview with BBC Newsnight that he cut ties with Epstein in December 2010 after a photo of them together in New York surfaced. These newly revealed emails contradict that claim.
Additionally, separate documents released yesterday disclose a close relationship between Prince Andrew and a Chinese businessman suspected of being a spy, Yang Tengbo.
In an official letter from Buckingham Palace dated March 2020, Dominic Hampshire, Andrew’s chief aide, thanked Yang for “his support of the Duke following the disastrous TV interview.”
He added that Prince Andrew “greatly values his loyalty.”

The documents also show that Yang was invited to Andrew’s 60th birthday party in February 2020.
In a second letter, in October of the same year, Hampshire granted Yang permission to represent Andrew in China in search of investors for a financial project but specified: “I would like this relationship to remain confidential and for this letter not to be shared digitally. I also request that a record be kept of those who have been privately informed about this arrangement.”
Hampshire also emphasized Yang’s close ties with Andrew, stating: “Outside the prince’s very inner circle, you are at the top of the list of those many wish to be part of.”
