Live footage broadcast by the official TV of the Transitional Council showed patrols and vehicles making their way through rugged hills from the towns of “Saba,” “Nadama,” and “Farsh Nisa” in the district, which spans 4,384 square kilometers.
The commander of the military and security campaign, Brigadier General Haider Al-Sayed, stated that the forces succeeded in clearing the rugged mountains and reaching areas such as “Rasras” and “Farsh Nisa,” covering about 80 square kilometers from the coastal line.

The forces launched a new phase of “Arrows of the East” operation following an armed ambush set by Al-Qaeda against security patrols on the international road, resulting in the death of four soldiers and the capture of others in December.
In response, Southern forces carried out a counterattack and succeeded in regaining full control of the “Sari” valley in the Khobar Al-Maraqisha area, which had been used as a camp by Al-Qaeda.
