Sources close to the National Salvation Front, led by Ahmed Najib Chebbi and including the Ennahdha movement of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as small partisan groups, have indicated that disagreements are arising within their ranks regarding the choice of candidate to challenge President Saied.

The Tunisian political class is gearing up for the presidential elections at the end of the year, following the political controversy sparked by the Ennahdha movement‘s claim that the authorities failed to organize this electoral event on time.
