The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the dispatch of an urgent relief package worth $30 million to Lebanese people forced to flee due to intense Israeli bombardment. Today, Abu Dhabi launched a massive campaign to support Lebanon titled “The UAE Stands with You, Lebanon,” a humanitarian gesture that is expected to provide a significant boost to efforts to resolve the escalating crisis.
The UAE’s campaign to support Lebanon involves the participation of the community, institutions, and government agencies, following the directives of Sheikh Mohammed, according to the Emirati news agency “WAM.”

According to the same source, the value of the campaign, which runs from October 8 to 21, is $100 million. Today, the UAE also organized six flights carrying approximately 205 tons of food aid, medical supplies, and shelter equipment.
This is not the first time the UAE has taken the lead in offering support to victims of wars, regional conflicts, or natural disasters. Its various initiatives to mitigate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza highlight the critical importance it places on this issue.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region and the chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, stated that “the President’s directives to launch a relief campaign to support the Lebanese people are part of ongoing humanitarian initiatives towards our brothers in Lebanon,” adding that “this gesture reflects the UAE’s growing role in providing humanitarian and developmental assistance to brotherly and friendly nations.”
He clarified that “the current situation in Lebanon requires the concerted efforts of all to mitigate its humanitarian consequences on the affected individuals and to stand by them until their current circumstances improve.”
