Tunisian analyst: Venice Commission aims to achieve the requirements of the Brotherhood

Foreign interference in Tunisia’s affairs continues to serve the Brotherhood and its demands. Despite the rejection of this terrorist group, represented by Ennahdha, by the Tunisian street, there are parties that seek to interfere in Tunisia’s affairs and stop the march of political and social stability.

Countering blatant interventions

On these blatant foreign interventions, Tunisian President Kais Saied, yesterday, ordered the Foreign Minister to expel the envoys of the Venice Commission, threatening to suspend his country’s membership in it.

The Tunisian position in this matter, and the threat to suspend the country’s membership in the Venice Commission and expel its envoys, came after a report criticizing the referendum on the new constitution, which was announced next July, to complete the construction map of the country.

The Tunisian president said: Our sovereignty and state are not negotiable, he said, adding that we reject foreign interference in Tunisian affairs as the so-called Venice Commission does, wondering what does it mean for a woman to come and talk about the need to restore the Independent High Electoral Commission like this? And that the referendum take place on the date they set? How do you vote?

The Tunisian president considered that what the committee did was a blatant and unacceptable intervention, and Tunisia is not a waste nor a garden, explaining that Tunisia does not need their help and that these people are not wanted in Tunisia and will not come to Tunisia, the constitution is put by Tunisians and not put in the gun.

Brotherhood Ennahdha plans

Oussama Aouidet, a leader of the Tunisian People’s Movement and a Tunisian political analyst, says that the demands of the Venice Commission are essentially those of the Brotherhood in order to disrupt the process of political stability and the referendum on the constitution.

The Tunisian political analyst added that Tunisia will not accept foreign interference that aims at disrupting the country’s stability, pointing out that all these organizations and committees are essentially aiming at the interests of groups and not states.

He pointed out that there are practices carried out by this Muslim Brotherhood movement and all Muslim Brotherhood groups in various European countries to put pressure on Tunisia and attempt to thwart the country with the aim of returning to the pre-July 25 era and destabilizing the Tunisian state.

The Tunisian president announced a referendum on constitutional amendments that are in preparation for July 25, ahead of legislative elections on December 17.

A few days ago, the Tunisian president announced the creation of a committee to prepare for a draft revision of the constitution of a new republic through a national dialog from which political parties were excluded.
