Using an Iranian drone… a horrific massacre committed by the Houthis in Taiz

The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia carried out a horrific massacre yesterday against civilians in Yemen’s Taiz governorate. The attack, conducted with an Iranian-made drone, targeted a school and a popular market in the village of Boumiya, located in the Maqbanah district.

According to local sources cited by Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni, the atrocious attack resulted in the death of six civilians, including women, and left eight others injured.

Photos and videos shared on social media documented the painful scenes of the massacre, showing the bodies of the victims, both deceased and injured, lying in a hospital in the Maqbanah district.

The Yemeni government strongly condemned the heinous massacre committed by the Houthi terrorist militia against the residents of the Maqbanah district, west of Taiz, which resulted in civilian casualties.

Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani stated, as reported by the official Saba news agency: “This vile crime is a continuation of the brutal and deliberate killings carried out daily by the Houthi terrorist militia against civilians in Taiz governorate since its coup. This conflict has claimed tens of thousands of lives, including women and children.” He criticized the shameful silence of the international community regarding these crimes.

The minister called on the international community, the UN, its special envoy, and human rights organizations and bodies to unequivocally condemn this heinous crime, immediately designate the Houthi group as a “global terrorist organization,” freeze its assets, and prosecute its leaders and members involved in such atrocities.

The Houthis continue to target civilians in various parts of Yemen, in blatant violation of international laws that prohibit attacks on civilians.
