Yemen: 12-year-old girl shot in the head by Houthi sniper bullet in Taiz
Human rights sources said: A sniper from the Houthi terrorist militia shot a 12-year-old girl in the southwestern city of Taiz last night.
The Taiz Human Rights Center reported that the 12-year-old girl, Maryam Abdul-Mawla Al-Zubayri, from the Bir Basha neighborhood, west of Taiz, was shot in the head by a sniper belonging to the Houthi militia, stationed in Tabat Al-Qari’, west of Taiz, expressing his condemnation of this crime.
Medical sources said the girl was taken to a hospital in Taiz and that her condition was serious.
Since the beginning of the war, local and international organizations have documented hundreds of victims in the city of Taiz, most of them women and children, who were killed by sniping and landmines planted by the Houthi militia.
Human rights statistics indicate that 17,326 civilians have been killed or injured by Houthi-led militias, including 3,916 children, 1,527 women, and 1,053 elderly people, over six years in Taiz Governorate.
The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations documented in a previous report that Houthi snipers killed and injured 366 children in Taiz province.
The report confirmed that snipers from the Houthi militia killed 130 children; 88 males and 42 females, and 236 injured; 170 males, 66 females.
