15 Houthis killed in Arab coalition strikes west of Taiz
Fifteen Houthi fighters were killed and several others were wounded Tuesday in Arab coalition airstrikes on militia military positions in western Taiz province in central Yemen.
In a statement, the Yemeni army said that Arab coalition fighter jets carried out two air raids on the positions and fortifications of the Houthi terrorist militia in the town of Al-Sararhom in the Jabal Habashy district, west of Taiz.
The strikes killed 15 Houthi fighters, wounded others and destroyed two Iranian-backed militia vehicles, the statement said.
The statement said that other strikes targeted at dawn on Tuesday a militia position at the entrance of the same town, killing and wounding a number of Houthi elements, and destroying military crews.
This comes amid intermittent battles in Taiz province, while fierce clashes are taking place on the province’s western rural fronts following a military operation launched by the Yemeni army a few days ago.
In March last year, Yemeni army forces in a swift military operation liberated the large town and areas of al-Kadha in the countryside in western Taiz following an attack from several axes.
The Arab coalition announces on a daily basis the death toll of the Houthi militias, who are suffering daily bleeding, especially in Marib, the center of the fiercest fighting, which the Iranian-backed putschists aimed to invade before the Giants’ forces enter the battle line and destroy their ambitions.
