China launches new Earth observation satellite
China launched a new earth observation satellite from the Jiuquan satellite launch center in the northwest of the country on Monday, media reports.
The Gaofen-12 03 satellite was launched by a “Long March-4C” carrier rocket, and entered the planned orbit successfully, media said.
The satellite will be used in various areas, including land surveys, urban planning, road network design, crop yield estimation and disaster relief.
The launch marks the 425th flight mission of the Chinese long march carrier rocket series.
