Noodle-like object found on Mars intrigues NASA

Perseverance, the rover that travels on Martian soil to study its surface, sometimes makes strange discoveries. Recently, this little jewel of technology came face to face with a strange material still unidentified, which it did not fail to capture in images. Results? It looks like a ball of string, or a noodle dish, just waiting to be eaten.

Well, it is possible that, if extraterrestrial life forms exist, they also love noodles, and cook small dishes of ramen between two space trips. At the risk of disappointing you, the explanation would be quite different: it would actually be space debris that fell there when Perseverance arrived. At least, that’s what NASA suspects.

In any case, it would not be the first time that the rover has encountered space debris on its way, reports Futurism. A month prior, Perseverance had discovered a piece of thermal blanket, which NASA attributes to part of the jetpack that allowed it to land on the planet. A debris that waltzed about two kilometers from the place of arrival all the same.

Surprising shots

Like this Martian noodle dish, many images taken by Perseverance intrigue and question us about the history of the red planet. Often, we try at all costs to detect oddities or traces of life, by making our imagination run at full speed.

On June 12, 2022, for example, another incredible image aroused fascination. We see an amazing rock formation, including a stone in perfect balance on a rock. Better yet, right next to it, you can observe a rock that looks like two drops of water like a snake’s head with its mouth open. In reality, it is simply a part of the old river delta that once existed inside Jezero Crater.

Still on Mars, another image taken on May 7, 2022 had made the rounds on social networks. Taken by the rover Curiosity, we see a kind of cavity that can recall a door, or even the entrance to a pyramid. Again, our imagination plays tricks on us, and it is in fact a fracture in the rock, which measures no more than 45 cm.
