King Mohammed VI reiterated Morocco’s firm position on the justice and centrality of the Palestinian cause, describing it as the key to peace, security, and stability in the Middle East. This aligns with the internationally recognized two-state solution, where Gaza is an integral part of the independent Palestinian territories. This message was addressed to Cheikh Niang, Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

Morocco’s consistent and committed stance on the Palestinian issue is emphasized on every occasion, ranking among the top priorities of its diplomacy and foreign policy. In his message, King Mohammed VI reaffirmed Rabat’s full solidarity and unconditional support for the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The message highlighted the tragic conditions in Palestinian territories, especially Gaza, calling for urgent intervention to achieve an immediate and lasting ceasefire, alongside collective efforts to support and protect human rights in the Palestinian territories, in line with UN resolutions and international law.

6. Resumption of serious negotiations to revive the peace process.

The message also highlighted the crucial role of the Jerusalem Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, in preserving the city’s historical and legal identity.
