The sixth attack since midnight: Israel detects and intercepts an Iranian missile attack

Air raid sirens sounded in central Israel and in the Jerusalem area after missiles were launched from Iran, marking a new escalation in the ongoing military confrontation between the two sides.

Israeli media reported that Iran launched six waves of missiles toward Israel since midnight, triggering the activation of air defense systems and warnings issued by the Home Front Command across wide areas including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Sharon region, Lachish, and the West Bank.

Interceptions without casualties

According to initial reports, air defense systems intercepted most of the missiles, and no injuries or direct damage have been reported.

The Home Front Command also allowed civilians in areas where sirens had sounded to leave shelters after the alert ended.

Israel had earlier announced the interception of a fifth Iranian ballistic missile attack since midnight, after sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and parts of central Israel.

According to preliminary military assessments, the number of missiles launched was limited and they were successfully intercepted by air defense systems.

Drones in the north

In the same context, Israeli authorities announced that four drones had been detected entering the airspace of western Galilee.

Two of them were intercepted, while one fell in an open area, and another was detected near the medical center in the city of Nahariya.
