Al-Sissi: Artist Samir Ghanem named on Cairo bridge


Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi has directed that the new bridge be named after Samir Ghanem on the intersecting axis of Mohammed Naguib in eastern Cairo up the ring road

Egyptian star Samir Ghanem died on May 20 in a Cairo hospital at the age of 84 after contracting the coronavirus.

His funeral was held after prayers the next day from El-Mosheer Mosque in the Fifth Gathering area east of Cairo.

After the funeral prayer, the body of the late artist was transferred to the family cemetery in the cemetery of “Loyalty and Hope” in Cairo.

The funeral was attended by a large number of fans of the famous Egyptian artist, a number of artists and members of the Syndicate of Acting Professions.
