Arab parliament warns of dangerous escalation of Houthi against UAE and Saudi Arabia
The Arab Parliament has strongly condemned the launch of two ballistic missiles by Houthi terrorist militias against the United Arab Emirates and one against Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the Arab parliament warned of the dangerous escalation of the Houthi terrorist group towards Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
It also stressed that Houthi terrorism not only threatens the security and stability of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, but also threatens the Arab national security system in general, and the Gulf in particular.
It also constitutes a threat to regional peace and security, undermines Arab national security, and harms international peace and security, according to the statement of the Arab Parliament, in which it affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in their measures to preserve their security and the safety of their citizens and residents on their lands, and to stand together against any threat.
The Arab Parliament considered that the Houthi group’s acts and atrocities targeting the stability of States and their citizens constitute a flagrant challenge to the international community, especially after the resolutions of the Security Council and the Arab League Council, and reiterated its demand that the Houthi group be included and classified as a terrorist organization.
It stressed that the terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militias reflect their terrorist nature and reveal their real objectives in destabilizing the security and stability of the region and their defiance of the rules of international law and international humanitarian law.
Earlier on Monday, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the interception and destruction of two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi terrorist group towards the state. The Arab Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy also announced the destruction of a ballistic missile launched towards Dhahran Al Janub.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said the attack caused no casualties, noting that the remnants of the intercepted and destroyed ballistic missiles fell in different areas around Abu Dhabi.
In the face of this terrorist attack, the ministry said it is prepared to deal with any threats and takes all necessary measures to protect the state from all attacks.
