Erdogan Receives Saudi Shura Council Speaker


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met on Monday with Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council Sheik Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh at the presidential palace in the Turkish capital of Ankara.

The meeting was attended by Turkey’s Grand National Assembly Speaker Dr. Mustafa Şentop.

Erdogan welcomed the president of the Saudi Shura Council, affirming the depth of relations between the two countries, and looked forward to further work that will help develop and strengthen them in various fields.

The President of Turkey conveyed his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and his calls on the Kingdom and its people to achieve further development, progress and prosperity under its wise leadership.

During the meeting, Al ash-Sheikh affirmed the determination of the Consultative Assembly and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to strengthen the ties between the two brotherly countries and to promote parliamentary relations to the highest levels.

Talks during the meeting dealt with a number of issues of mutual interest between the two countries in various fields, in a way that contributes to their common interests.
