France: Highly pathogenic H5N8 bird flu have been confirmed on duck farm

On Tuesday, the French farm ministry declared the emergence of extremely pathogenic H5N8 bird flu on a duck farm in the southwest of the country, which affirmed France’s first farm outbreak this year.

In fact, the outbreak was reported at first time on Monday however it was not clear what actually the strain of the virus it was. Recently, Bird flu has been expanding quickly in Europe, which put the poultry industry on the alert situation after past outbreaks conducted to the culling of tens of millions of birds.
