A Saudi doctor and his son drowned in the Giessbach Falls on Lake Brienz in Switzerland, after the father jumped to save his young son before they were swept away by the waterfall.
In detail, the Saudi doctor was with his son, who was under two years old, on the edge of the waterfall rocks in the Alps, and the child’s foot slipped, causing him to fall into the severe floods.
Immediately, the father jumped in an attempt to save his son, while his daughter and wife were in tears, before the waterfall swept them away. King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences offered its condolences to the family of Dr. Abdullah Muayouf Al-Anzi, head of the research unit at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Riyadh, via its account on “X”.
On social media, Saudi users shared tributes to the deceased through the hashtag “#Dr_Abdullah_AlAnzi”. Dr. Ahmed Bahamam said: “A kind, polite, and knowledgeable young man with a unique demeanor, from a family of science and literature. May God grant him paradise in his youth and console his family in their loss.”
