How did the table turn against Al-Ahmar Brotherhood member in Yemen and his media arms?
A major blow to the Brotherhood’s plans in Yemen, with the formation of the Presidential Council and the removal of the Brotherhood member Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar from the Yemeni Presidency Institution, with the announcement by Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi of his removal from his duties as Vice-President of Yemen.
Over the past years, Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar has stood as a stumbling block to the liberation of Yemen from Houthi terrorist and pro-Iranian militias, as he was governed by the decision of the Muslim Brotherhood in the country and its political arm, the Islah Party. This was evident through withdrawing from the war fronts and handing it over to the Houthis without a fight.
Following these developments, Mokhtar Al-Rahbi and Anis Mansour, the Brotherhood’s trumpets that serve the plans of the group and its supporters abroad, are in a major crisis due to their commitment, in the past years of war, to shuffle the cards in Yemen by attacking the coalition, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, and promoting lies against them, amid assertions of suspicious relations between them and Qatar. They started their agendas since Qatar was removed from the Arab alliance in Yemen.
Al-Ahmar’s is the main reason for the disruption of the liberation of Yemen, as he has been linked to Al-Qaeda since his presence in Yemen. Al-Ahmar also contributed to the spread of the organization and its penetration in Yemen by launching an alliance with the Brotherhood, which led the organization in Yemen to become a major force.
Al-Ahmar’s relationship with al-Qaeda dates back to 2017 when al-Ahmar provided fertile ground for extremist groups and factions that later morphed into al-Qaeda.
In a study conducted by American researcher Peter Salisbury, he revealed al-Ahmar’s ties with terrorist organizations in Yemen. He said he is an influential player in a network of tribal, Sunni and Islamist groups whose main influence is the Islah Party, and is accused of helping sponsor armed groups that eventually became al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Through this evidence, the Al-Ahmar Brotherhood member became the architect of terrorist organizations in Yemen and reached out to the Yemeni Vice President. This contributed to the building of secret and public camps belonging to the Islah Party to build generations of terrorism that would serve its interests and those of the Brotherhood organization in Yemen.
Anis Mansour and Mokhtar Al-Rahbi became mere media outlets to serve Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar and his presence in Yemen by defending him even after he was removed from office. The table turned against Al-Ahmar and his media arms after the formation of the Presidential Council in Yemen and the removal of Al-Ahmar from his position.
