King Charles puts “Paddington Bear” on sale for $320

At first glance, it may seem like an ordinary stuffed toy, but King Charles is putting “Paddington Bear” on sale for £275 (equivalent to $320).

This special edition teddy bear is a unique piece for collectors and is sold at the shop located in the king‘s country home in Highgrove.

According to the “Mirror” newspaper, the teddy bear stands about 30 centimeters tall, comes in a gift box, and the delivery cost is £19.95 within the UK or £55 worldwide.

The Paddington Bear, made from goat hair, is not meant for children at all. This rare little piece is intended solely for collectors and is not to be played with.

The text accompanying the bear states, “Based on the famous original drawings by Peggy Fortnum, this classic British-made Paddington Bear is not just a toy, but a lifelong companion. Designed to bring you joy and companionship, it is a bear that yearns to be everyone’s best friend, evoking a sense of nostalgia and warmth in your heart.”

The lucky bear is handcrafted at the historic “Merrythought” factory in Ironbridge and comes with a certificate confirming the use of the finest natural materials, crafted by the best experts in Britain.

According to experts, the Paddington Bear is made of finely woven mohair and soft cotton velvet, adorned with a pure wool felt hat and a duffle coat featuring wooden buttons. Its nose is carefully hand-stitched, and a warm smile graces its face.

It is worth noting that the stuffed Paddington Bear has been famous among generations of children since the 1950s and appeared in a sketch with Queen Elizabeth during her Platinum Jubilee celebration in 2022.
